Abstract     
We report the morphology of two Mesoclemmys raniceps hatchlings captured duringan investigation on the ecology of Amazon freshwater turtles in Asháninkas indigenous communities in Departamento de Pasco, Peru. This study represents the first description of wild hatchlingM. raniceps in Peru and a new record for minimum carapace length of wild M. raniceps.
