Abstract
Analysis of the turtle presence in Montenegre i el Corredor park, Serralada Litoral park and Serralada de Marina park In the last ten years, sightings have been made of turtles in the geographical area constituting the parks of the Central Serralada Litoral. A total of seventeen sight - ings corresponding to three autochthonous species (Testudo hermanni, Mauremys leprosa and Emys orbicularis) and two exotic species (Trachemys scripta scripta and Trachemys scripta elegans) have been made. Neither of them correspond to stable populations and all of them are isolated specimens, which have probably been recovered. Some of the sightings correspond to sites peripheral to the parks’ or beyond their area of influence. Management tasks to both aid conservation of the autochthonous species and achieve the eradication of the exotic species have been proposed. The considerable human population renders the management of turtle species necessary, at least within the park so as to conserve the natural heritage. Testudinidae
