Apalone The Chinese mantid, Tenodera aridifolia sinensis Saussure, was introduced into the United States in the vicinity of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, about 70 yr ago ... Johnson (1976) reported the capture and consumption of a Trionyx soft-shelled turtle by Tenodera aridifolia (Insecta), In captivity.
