Testudinidae Kinixys belliana homeana erosa Pelusios New observations on the geographical distribution of the freshwater turtles and tortoises of southern Central African Republic are offered. The occurence of Cycloderma aubryi is confirmed there, and the country thus houses a total of at least 12 chelonian species. Biogeographical and conservation issues are discussed.
