Abstract
To date, 100 individual Blanding’s turtles have been marked and captured in the Pleasant River area since trapping began in 1997. This is comparable to the number of individuals that have been marked and captured in Kejimkujik and McGowan Lake. In the present study, 30 turtles sampled between May and August 2004, which had not been utilized in previous genetic analysis, were in combination with 15 others that had been previously genotyped. Additionally, three concentrations that had not been previously analyzed were included in the present study. Table 2 summarizes the distribution of the 44 samples from the five concentrations used in this study.
