In order to get information about the reproductive biology of swear (Kinosternon scorpioides) followed up for twelve months the Scientific Breeding of the Universidade Estadual do Maranhão. The animals had their biometrics checked weekly in their respective groups: adults, youth, youth and infants. In relation to the nests, these were identified and measured, then the eggs were collected, weighed, measured and placed in an artificial incubator with the temperature maintained at 26 ° C. Observations on breeding allowed to infer that the nesting occurred seasonally in the months july the october 2010 and april the july 2011. The nests are mainly in the corners of the stalls featuring swimsuits diameter of 12.95 cm, 9.19 cm diameter less than 7.09 and the average depth of eggs laid by 4.1. By tracking biometric can be concluded that juveniles have a significantly higher growth compared to other groups. O jurará (Kinosternon scorpioides) é um quelônio, pertencente à família Kinosternidae, de hábitos semi-aquáticos que tem sido alvo de grande atividade exploratória, no delta do Amazonas (SMITH, 1979) e na Cidade de São Bento – MA, onde faz parte da economia local, por ser uma espécie apreciada pelo sabor de sua carne, como prato exótico
