Testudinidae Testudo hermanni To the authors’ knowledge this is the first study evaluating a blood gas PCA in one reptile species. The present study provides sufficient evidence that the PCA provides acceptable agreement with the RA for pH and electrolyte measurement. Considering the low agreement for the other assays instrument-specific reference intervals are needed and the same instrument must be used when multiple assessments of one patient are performed.
