Abstract |
Testudinidae Testudo graeca Dog aggression against turtles usually produce non fatal lesions , but can cause loss of substance. Generally these lesions are resolved with surgery but when the loss of substance is considerable it may be necessary to use resins. In the case described, injuries resulted in a damaged jaw and palate with severe loss of substance, thus it was necessary to reconstruct these parts using an orthodontic acrylic resin. This procedure permitted the animal to feed autonomously.
