Abstract
The empiric part of this study involved using microsatellite markers to assess the genetic diversity in 2 ornate box turtle (Terrapene ornata) populations, 1 of which has experienced a persistent population bottleneck in the past century and is small and isolated currently, whereas the other is relatively large and undisturbed.
