Abstract |
Testudinidae Testudo Terrapene Trachemys Viruses of tortoises A number of different viruses can be found in tortoises including (but not limited to) herpesviruses, picornaviruses, ranaviruses, adenoviruses, and reoviruses. While herpesviruses are considered the most important of these based on frequency of detection and severity of clinical disease, picornaviruses are also relatively common and ranaviruses appear to be becoming more frequent.
