Abstract |
Pseudemys Abstract: In the past 10-15 years, the artificially introduced red-eared slider turtle, Trachemys scripta elegans, indigenous to the Mississippi basin, has been quickly increasing in number in the Villa Sorra estate park (province of Modena, Northern Italy). To avoid this presence becoming an ecological threat to the local population of European pond turtle (Emys orbicularis), a trapping method for the removal of Trachemys has been tested. Information about the two turtle populations in the biotope has been collected during the two trapping sessions. Falle: Handelsübliche Slider-Falle aus USA
