Abstract |
Structural analysis of a Trachemys decussata decussata population in a locality of Ciénaga de Zapata, regarding of the abundance of juvenils and adults and its size during dry and rainy seasons was carried out. It’s had been discussed that both sex make a differenciated use of their habitat, which facilitates mating and reduces the competition for the vaious resources. The size of the individuals decreases in the population for the third year, in comparison with the second and the first year, which seems to be determined by the comercial hunt of turtles in thea area.
