Abstract
The experiments demonstrate that intensity of illumination has a great influence on the activity of Cuora trifasciata when the temperature is proper for the Cuora trifasciata to grow, the animal act out of cave vigorously under 400 lx of illumination, between 400 to 5000 lx of illumination, the action of the animal out of cave is reduced gradually with the increase of the illumination. They stop acting out of cave completely and hide in the cave to rest above 5000 lx of illumination. In artificial controlled low illumination and change the living condition, the animal can act out of cave longer and grow faster than normal.
