Chinemys reevesii The growing tempo of tortoises is closely related with the temperature and intake of food. In suitable temperature range (20-28 degrees C), the intake increases with the rise of temperature and the growth accordingly accelerates. In the dormant period, the tortoise consumes more energy as ambient temperature rises.
