Abstract     
Emydoidea blandingi
When choosing a nest site, redbelly turtles, Pseudemys rubriventris, often nuzzle the substrate
(Graham, unpubl. notes), but the chin lowering of Emydoidea is much more deliberate and
stereotyped than in Pseudemys
