Abstract
The University of Evansville has an indoor captive breeding colony of 47 Malayan box turtles, Cuora amboinensis. The majority of the animals are from two Asian confiscations (December 2001 and March 2003). As of July 2006, we have had over 120 eggs and 47 hatchlings produced. Ultrasound exams are conducted routinely to monitor ovarian development and the presence of eggs. This poster will summarize basic observations on the reproductive females and the resulting eggs and hatchlings.
