Abstract
Sacalia quadriocellata In this paper, the size, morphological features and quantity of blood cells of four-eye spotted turtles were studied during the different seasons. The results showed that the number of erythrocyte during the breeding period was (46.50±5.64) × 1010/L, twice as much as that during the regular period. The total amount of leukocyte during the breeding season was (2.43±0.36) × 1010/litre and was not different from the regular season. The size of blood cells changed with the seasonal. As the temperature increase, the volume of blood cells increased, and the time of blood coagulation decreased.
