Abstract     
Genetic diversity of 21 individuals of Platystern on megacephalum(Gay)was analyzed by RAPD with 27 10 -nuclectied-long primers,the total of 5187 fragments were amplified,averaged 2 47 bands in each individual,141 of 247 loci were polymorphic,amounting to 55.97 %,the size of DNA fragments ranged from 100bp to 2000bp.The genetic distance bet ween two individuals was from 0.0972 to 0.3198.The average genetic distance wa s 0.1750± 0.0387.The phylogenetic tree of the 21 individuals was obtained by NJTREE analysis in the RAPDistance 1.04 program,it showed that the high genetic diversity existed in the turtle.
