Abstract |
Falcaustra manouriacola n. sp. (Ascaridida: Kathlaniidae) from the large intestine of Manouria impressa (Testudines: Testudinidae) is described and illustrated. Falcaustra manouriacola represents the thirtieth Oriental species assigned to the genus and is distinguished from other Oriental species by the distribution pattern of the caudal papillae (10 precloacal, 2 adcloacal, 8 postcloacal), length of spicules (4.67–4.80 mm) and presence of a pseudosucker.
