Abstract |
Gopherus agassizii Testudinidae Heloderma suspectum Other potential nest predators in the area include small carnivores such as coyote (Canis latrans), gray fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus), ringtail (Bassariscus astutus), spotted skunk (Spilogale gracilis), hognosed skunk (Conepatus mesoleucus), hooded skunk (Mephitus macroura), and striped skunk (M. mephitis). Other predators include rodents such as white-throated woodrat (Neotoma albigula) and rock squirrel (Spermophilus variegatus), snakes such as gopher snake (Pituophis catenifer) and common king snake (Lampropeltus getulus), and birds such as the greater roadrunner (Geococyx californianus).
