Abstract |
Testudinidae Thirty-two aquatic turtles (Sternotherus odoratus; juvenile, semiadult, adult; body weight 46–238g), 55 tortoises (29 Testudo hermanni, 12 Testudo horsfieldii, 11 Geochelone pardalis, 3 Testudo graeca; hatchlings, juvenile, semiadult, adult; body weight 17–1104 g), and 5 semiaquatic turtles (Rhinoclemmis pulcherrima; juvenile, semiadult; body weight 31–155 g) were available for the total body analysis. They were donated by commercial animal traders and private persons when they died from various causes.
