Abstract |
Testudinidae The aims of this study were to investigate the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites in tortoises in the UK and the factors affecting the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites. Owners were invited to submit samples from Testudo hermanni, graeca, horsfieldii and Geochelone pardalis for analysis, in conjunction with a completed questionnaire. The questionnaire covered details of their tortoise’s signalment and husbandry and data from these was analyzed at the end of the study.
