Abstract     
Testudinidae Geochelone We present the geographic distribution of Chelonoidis carbonaria in Paraguay, inclusive evaluating and discussing the former area of occupancy. Briefly we describe their ecology and reproduction. Furthermore we focus on threats in the past, the present, and the expected future, checking their conservation status.
