Abstract |
Testudinidae Geochelone carbonaria This is the first report about a disease known as hepatic lipidosis (steatosis) and cirrhosis in this kind of animal. The gross and microscopic lesions are described. It is important to emphasise that this pathological process has a multifactorial etiology such as, over and underfeeding, some bacterial toxins along with lack of proteins or enzyrnes as well as toxic agents and some medicaments. Therefore, its etiopathogenesis is discussed. Added by: Admin Last edited by: Beate Pfau |
