Podocnemis vogli During field studies on the biology of the capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris) (dry season in March/April 1991), the author oberserved on the farm 'Hato el Frio' (Lianos of Venezuela) that one-year-old-sideneck turtles (70-90 mm CL) of the species Podocnemis vogli L. MÜLLER, 1935 fed regularly on capybara droppings. Adult Podocnemis were never seen to do so.
